Players who left the national hockey camp to be part of the World Series Hockey (WSH) launch programme in Mumbai, still haven't got their dues from Hockey India (HI), claims Olympian Rahul Singh.
"What is HI doing to the players? How much are they giving them? The players still haven't got their earlier dues."
"HI is not thinking about the players' future, while Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) has started WSH where players will be benefited. After all, both the federations will merge but it will be the players who will suffer. I feel that the players' decision of signing for WSH is absolutely correct."
Meanwhile, HI boss Pargat Singh said that this was a common practice. "Even IHF have never paid the dues. So it is the same for HI as well. But you cannot compromise when the prestige of country and game is at stake," Pargat said.
