Haimar Zubeldia's Tour de France campaign for Lance Armstrong's RadioShack team is under threat after the Spaniard suffered a fracture in a crash on the first stage of the Dauphine Criterium, a key warm-up stage race for next month's Tour de France.
RadioShack said the Spanish climbing specialist had a plate fitted to a fractured radius bone on his right forearm after a minor operation.
Zubeldia is regarded as a key mountain helper for Armstrong in his bid for an eighth yellow jersey in July.
