The grade 1, Indian Oaks, popularly known as 'Ladies' Derby' because it is reserved only for four-year-old Indian fillies who will go over the Derby trip of mile-and-a-half, has attracted twelve runners and is slated as the feature event of Sunday's bumper ten-race card.
With no filly possessing exceptional form, the race wears an open look with Vijay's Pride & Showin'off--the winner & runner up of the Indian 1000 Guineas--as prime contenders, and the trio of Maple Star, Art Of Enchantment & Songlark having an outside chance.

My choice is Vijay's Pride, winner of six races from eight starts, who has never ventured beyond a mile, but is expected to go the distance thanks to her current good form. She is tipped to win from Showin'off & Maple Star.
For the best bet of the afternoon, I nominate Mariinski in the grade 3, Gool S Poonawalla Million. The Pesi Shroff-trained three-year-old filly should be able to post an easy victory in the hands of S Zervan.
