German tennis great Boris Becker, who is believed to be £54million in debt, is set to join British reality TV series I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Here in a bid to earn some money to pay off his massive debt. According to British tabloid, The Sun, the former Wimbledon champion, 49, hopes that his £500,000 per day pay packet could help him manage his monetary issues.

"As everyone now knows, Boris' financial situation is desperate. He needs a way to make a lot of money fast. His representatives are negotiating with ITV over his fee and they are aiming to get him £500,000. TV chiefs know he would be a brilliant signing. But they also know Boris is slightly over a barrel as a result of his dire financial situation. Even if Boris does collect half a million, it isn't going to make a dent in his debts," said a source close to Becker.
