Andy Murray might have made history with a record fifth Queen’s Club title yesterday, but even that landmark wasn’t enough to persuade his coach Ivan Lendl to stick around for the trophy presentation.

When Murray came to pick up the trophy, there was an empty seat where Lendl had been sitting. “It was nice of Ivan to stick around for the presentation!” Murray said with a grin. “It’s a pleasure to play in front of someone like John McEnroe and any time you can do something a bit better than someone like him, is amazing.”
