Australia's opening batsman Simon Katich said Pakistan can prove to be a dangerous opponent on the slow Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) track in the second Test starting on Sunday. 
Being the New South Wales captain, Katich knows the SCG track better than anyone else in the side and says that the wicket is expected to take some turn.
Pakistan is considering recalling leg-spinner Danish Kaneria to play alongside off-spinner Saeed Ajmal in Sydney.
"The key for us is to try to win that first hour come Sunday. That's always the toughest thing entering a new Test match," Katich was quoted as saying by the Herald Sun. "Pakistan played some good cricket.
They got through the game with some good performances as the game panned out. We're certainly wary of what they can throw at us," Katich said. "The conditions here will no doubt suit them. The SCG spins a bit and it's a slower wicket so we know we're going to be in for a contest."u00a0
Kaneria, a leg-spinner, was injured during the practice session and was kept out of the Melbourne Test but in Sydney he is expected to partner Ajmal.u00a0 "I will try my level best to do something to help us win in Sydney and try to keep up the expectation of the captain and team. If I can contribute myself, it will be a very good sign for the team," he said.
