"I am confident that all the controversies associated with the CWG will be forgotten once the Games commence. The crowd will closely follow all the action and keep track of the medals race," said Paes Sr, as he went on to defend the various shortcomings pointed out in the infrastructure.
Speaking about his son's preparation for the competition, Dr Paes said: "Leander is very excited about the Games. The recent Davis Cup win in Chennai was good preparation. I hope we shine bright in Delhi."
