Aman Ambedkar, Benjamin Lobo and Joshua D'Souza scored a goal each. The Bosco boys meet St Stanislaus in the final today. And having lost to the Bandra boys in a final of the recently concluded knockout tournament, the Matunga team is keen to extract revenge.
"We lost to Stanislaus in the final of the league tournament last year. In the recently concluded boys' U-12 knockout final, we lost to Stanislaus 2-4 in the tie-breaker. We played badly then. I hope this time we can give our best and win the title," said Don Bosco coach Javed Sayed.
Meanwhile, in the other semi-final, defending champions St Stanislaus 'A' beat St Stanislaus 'B' 3-0. Zaeem Dodhiya, Joshua D'Souza and Keegan Pinto scored for the Bandra school. The final will be played today.
St Stanislaus coach George Esteves is confident his team will defend the title against their arch-rivals. "Both Stanislaus and Don Bosco players are skillful. We have always had a healthy rivalry with Don Bosco. We won the knock-out tournament against them. Now, I hope we beat them in this league tournament too," he said.
