While accepting the loss to Chelsea was costly, Sir Alex Ferguson never took the view it was fatal.
Now Evra has echoed the rallying cry, pointing out that history awaits should the Red Devils end the campaign on top once more.
"No one has won four titles in a row in the history of English football. We have the opportunity to do it. That is why this is one of the most important titles for Manchester United," said the France international.
"I have won three titles with this club. None of them were as important as this one," he added.
Focus on fourth
Roberto Mancini has urged his Manchester City players to maintain their focus when Birmingham City visit on Sunday to boost the club's chances of securing Champions League qualification.
"The performance at Burnley last week is in the past. It's finished. We played very well, but all I am interested in is the next game," said Mancini.
Emotional Murphy
Fulham captain Danny Murphy insists his side should have nothing to fear from Liverpool as he prepares for Sunday's return to Anfield. The Cottagers head to Liverpool having added German champions Wolfsburg to their impressive list of Europa League scalps on.
