Mumbai Games kick off today

Over 1500 Mumbaikars, including working professionals and college and school students will compete against each other as a unique community sporting event, 'Mumbai Games' get underway today.

The event that will take place across two consecutive weekends in January (5-6 & 12-13) comprises nine indoor and outdoor games where both individuals as well as teams will compete.

The sporting disciplines include football, basketball, athletics, tennis, badminton, table tennis, squash, chess and carrom.u00a0From South Mumbai’s Downtown Daredevils to the Navi Mumbai 21sters,u00a0eight contingents will cover the city.
