Oscar Pistorius would be welcomed back to certain athletics meetings when he decides to return to competition, his agent Peet van Zyl has claimed
Pistorius is allowed to travel abroad for competitions after a judge changed his bail restrictions earlier this week as he awaits trial for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

Pistorius, known as the ‘Blade Runner’, could attempt to qualify for this year’s World Championships in Moscow. Although van Zyl has said a return will be Pistorius’ decision, he does not believe event organisers will be put off with the pending court case.
“He is the only one who can determine if and when he is ready to train and return to competition,” van Zyl told BBC’s Sportsweek. “I have received emails of support from various meeting directors for Oscar and wishing him well in this tough time and they hope one day to see him back on the track. When the time is right we will approach competitions.”
