U Mumba defender Jeeva Kumar was seen interacting with a lady, who didn't follow the sport, but knew about the team having watched TV.

The Kolkata-based lady asked, "why is there so much fanfare?" to which 34-year-old Jeeva said that the train journey was part of their victory parade.

Jeeva explained that since the team was partying till 5 am yesterday at Taj (Colaba), most players got only three to four hours of sleep: "It's been a crazy day for us.

After the final, we went to the Taj and were partying till 5 am. We reached our hotel (Courtyard Mariott in Andheri) at 7am. Since we had to get ready for the victory parade, we barely got three hours of sleep, but it's worth it."

The First-Class compartment was filled with U Mumba players, owner Ronnie Screwvala with family, security personnel and media persons. Players were seen singing Bollywood numbers, playing pranks and taking selfies with those. who boarded the train.

"I felt like a Mumbaikar, travelled in a train, met fans. It's a memorable day," said U Mumba captain Anup Kumar.
