Rayyan's brace was the difference in the Mumbai Schools Sports Association U-14 Div I tie.u00a0Rayyan had been selected to train with QPR on the basis of his performance at the Junior Soccer Challenge, an initiative by MP Milind Deora for South Mumbai schoolchildren.
But the organisers were unable to inform him about his selection.
"Last year I missed a golden opportunity of training with QPR. They tried calling on the landline number but due to some problem with the phone, they couldn't get in touch with me. But this yearu00a0 I will try once again," Rayyan told MiD DAY. The QPR trials are tentatively scheduled for October.
