Boon D'Souza's four goals helped Central Railway script an 8-2 win against SAISA SC in men's first-round clash of the Bandra Gymkhana 30th Open Rink Hockey tournament, played at the Bandra Gym's tennis courts yesterday.

Another star player for Central Railway was Harbhay Singh with two goals. Roshan Keisham and Anup Walmiki scored two goals each. For SAISA, Smit Devkar scored both the goals.
In another match, crowd favourites, Wenden SC went down to Bombay Republicans 5-7, via tie-breaker after the scores were level at 4-4 at regulation time.
For Republicans, Venkatesh scored three goals. Santosh scored one in regulation time and in tie-breaker. Sanket, Venkatesh and Santosh converted one each.
For Wenden, Roy Lewis scored two goals and Ashish Gonsalves and Gershwin Pereira scored one each during regulation time. In tie-breaker, Enrico Fernandes managed to score one.
