Former WWE wrestler says UFC’s top female fighter threw away her match against Holly Holm as she needed time off to entertain Hollywood offers
Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) fighter Taz has said that Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Ronda Rousey fixed her match against Holly Holm. In UFC 193, American Holm stunned an unbeaten Rousey and knocked her out cold to become the Bantamweight champion, and even as most of the Mixed martial Arts world reacted with shock to the result, Taz told a radio show that he had expected it.

Before Saturday night’s loss to Holm in Melbourne, Rousey had told Rolling Stone magazine that she was keen to “disappear” for a while after the fight in order to make a movie or two. Rousey has been flooded with Hollywood film offers given her drop dead gorgeous looks and camera-confident personality. However, given her UFC commitments, she hasn’t had time for glamour world. And Taz felt that Rousey’s loss to Holm was nothing but a ploy by the lady herself to make more time life outside the Octagon. Rousey said that if all went well, she would not enter the Octagon again till UFC 200 on July 9 in Las Vegas. Based on these comments, Taz told CBS Radio show that the Rousey-Holm fight outcome was pre-planned.
“Why are some people not seeing this? This has been done in the wrestling industry for years. A guy or girl is going to take a break or go away, or has an injury that they have to tend to, whatever the reasons are, and they are a champion — you take the championship off them,” said Taz, adding that Rousey was well within her rights to do what she did. “You don’t want your champion sitting at home or making a movie or whatever Rousey’s going to do, or just needs a personal break, which she's earned. I’m not sure who was in on it and who wasn’t, but I know this much: Rousey was in on it — and Holm might not have been in on it.”

Ronda out for six month
Meanwhile, Rousey received a six-month medical suspension following her knockout, which means she cannot fight unless cleared by a head CT scan. UFC President Dana White said that Rousey has returned to the US, but kept her face hidden behind a hoodie and a pillow as TMZ Sports attempted to interview her at Los Angeles International Airport.
