Moscow: Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko said his country was still on course to compete at next year's Rio Olympics despite being provisionally suspended by the IAAF on Friday.

Mutko said the ban, imposed after the country was accused of "state sponsored" doping, was predictable.
"I don't think they could have taken any other decision with the sword of Damocles that they had over their heads, with the pressure exerted on the commission," Mutko told the Russian TASS news agency.
