Sarfaraz Khan is an ambitious lad. At 13, he aims to break through into the Mumbai under-16 team. Sarfaraz, who has been a prolific scorer in state and inter-school tournaments, scored another double ton to help Rizvi Sports Club clinch the Worli Sports Club Mumbai under-14 selection tournament on the basis of a first innings
lead at Cross Maidan yesterday.
Karnatak Sporting Association, who were bowled out for 61 on Day One, conceded the match after Rizvi SC were 396 for three on the second and final day of the match. Sarfaraz, who remained unbeaten on 243, said: "I practice with Ranji Trophy and IPL players like Rahil Shaikh (Mumbai) and Kamran Khan (UP).
Confidence
"It helps me learn a lot more and that is why I think I am playing well. It also develops my confidence."
"I want to play in the higher age categories now," added Sarfaraz.
Interestingly, Arman Jaffer, scored a hundred just like his uncle and Mumbai Ranji Trophy skipper Wasim Jaffer did in the ongoing Ranji Trophy match against Saurashtra.
