The swashbuckling batsman, who is undergoing rehabilitation for shoulder surgery, has alleged that nothing has been done to salvage the situation by the cricket association.
Sehwag has also sought a 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) from his Ranji team authorities, which will legally allow him to quit the side for some other team.
The Delhi captain has informed Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) President Arun Jaitely and revealed that if unsatisfied he will leave the Delhi team to join Haryana side. In fact the Haryana Cricket Association had approached Sehwag last season to join the side but the batsman did not take up the offer last season.
The flamboyant Indian opener told TIMES NOW, "I am trying to leave Delhi and play for Haryana. There is too much interference and manipulation from the sports committee in selection committees. What is the point in continuing to play for such an association where there is so much corruption?"
The channel also spoke to DDCA general secretary SP Bansal and he confirmed that Viru is indeed unhappy with the selection process and wants to shift to Haryana cricket association.
