Tennis icon Serena Williams’ boyfriend and coach Patrick Mouratoglou is confident his lady love can break the 22 Grand Slam title record and create sporting history.
Williams recently won the French Open, her 20th Slam title, and isn’t too far from achieving the feat. Former World No 1 Steffi Graf holds the record of 22 Grand Slam titles. However, Mouratoglou believes Serena (31) is on the verge of becoming the greatest female tennis player in the world.

Ultimate champion
“Serena is the ultimate champion. She represents the values of highlevel tennis more than anyone else. Her level of perfectionism reflects her ambitions,” Mouratoglou told American website www.franchiseherald.com.
The 45-year-old son of a Greek business magnate, Mouratoglou felt that Serena’s persistence and aggression set her apart. “She never surrenders, she constantly questions herself and continually seeks to progress,” added Mouratoglou, who turned down the prospect of taking over his father’s renewable energy companies in France and decided to open his own academy, the Mouratoglou Tennis Acadame in Nice, France.
Mouratoglou even runs a foundation that helps budding tennis players to fulfill their aspirations of playing at the international level.
