Striker SV Sunil out with injury

As if the massive challenge that awaits India at the Asia Cup in Ipoh, Malaysia later this month was not enough, one of their key strikers, SV Sunil, has joined the long list of injured players.

The lanky forward from Coorg become the latest casualty after injuries forced strikers Akashdeep Singh, Danish Mujtaba and Gurwinder Singh Chandi also to sit out of the all-important tournament.

Sunil who has been impressive upfront suffered a ligament tear on his left elbow last Friday during the preparatory camp at the SAI centre in Bangalore.u00a0
