Shashank Bisht quelled the spirited challenge of Sujay Malik as he beat the latter 11-8, 6-11, 11-4, 9-11, 11-3 to win the men’s singles title in a thrilling final of the P-3 Sports’- 3rd Mumbai Inter-Corporate table tennis tournament, held at Khar Gymkhana here last night.

However, the team championship final between HDFC and TCS proved to be quite an engrossing affair. HDFC’s Suraj was beaten by Akash Damle in a thrilling first tie. But Yash brought parity by scoring over Vishal Yadav in a tensely fought second tie.
It was, however, the doubles tie that brought HDFC closer to the title as their pair of Suraj and Yash put out Akash and Vishal in four games. Miss World 2013, Simran Ahuja, who was the chief guest, gave away the prizes.
