The night race at the steamy Marina Bay Circuit proved to be memorable as Force India drivers delivered a top 10 finish only for the second time in the season after the opening race in Australia.
The Silverstone-based team got its strategy spot on for the high downforce circuit with di Resta and Sutil capitalising on a good qualifying on Saturday when they were 10th and ninth fastest.
The result brought 12 points for Force India, creating a sizeable gap over its nearest rivals Sauber, who are at seventh place with 36 points. Force India has 48 points and will get the opportunity to add more to its tally in the remaining five races.
