Indian jockey Trevor Patel registered his first win in Australia on Saturday. In the 9th race at Sunshine Coast racetrack, Trevor powered horse #14, No Annamossity, to a decisive victory for trainer Robert Heathcote in the seven-furlong race, the Coolum Getaway Resort for class III horses.

The top Indian jockey, who is presently exploring the greener pastures Down Under broke the jinx with this victory, which came almost a month after he landed in Australia. Trevor positioned No Annamossity in fifth or sixth position on the inside rails, about six lengths behind the leader, before unleashing a powerful run in the homestretch to take advantage of a wide open gap on the rails.
