US Open qualifiers: Somdev Devvarman eases into Round 2

Somdev Devvarman took one step closer to qualifying for the US Open after beating Fabiano De Paula in straight sets yesterday.

After his 6-4, 6-3 victory over the Brazilian, Devvarman will face off against American Robby Ginepri, ranked 236 in the world.

In the Round One encounter which lasted one hour and nine minutes, Devvarman brokeu00a0De Paula once in the first set and thrice in the second.
