Though November 5 is set for USD 125,000 WTA Challenger tennis event, the organisers are yet to decide on a venue.
They have shortlisted three venues to host the event — Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune, The Cricket Club of India tennis courts and the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA).

“We haven’t finalised on the venue as we are confused. It will take us two more weeks to decide on it. At Balewadi, the infrastructure is in place, but it is too far. From the commercial aspect, Mumbai is the best place, but it does not have a stadium,” said promoter Sujit Jain.
