Australian Mark Webber set the fastest time of the day duringu00a0 yesterday's second practice for Sunday's British Grand Prix.
The 33-year-old Red Bull driver, fourth fastest in the morning, posted a time of 1min 31.234sec, 55 minutes into the session, but was forced to spend the remaining time in the pits after a warning light appeared on
his car.
Once Webber had set his time, it is understood that teams began to focus more on race pace rather than qualifying. Spaniard Fernando Alonso had opted to run without the f-duct, was second fastest for Ferrari followed by Sebastian Vettel in the second Red Bull, with less than seven-tenths of a second separating the top three drivers.
