Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana, Santacruz (West) will host its annual inter-parish rink football tournament from September 22 involving 125 teams and over 1250 players.
The Gymkhana has been hosting this event for the past 26 years.u00a0According to the organisers, there will be an Olympic-style grand opening ceremony involving participating teams and players followed by an exhibition match between the city’s sports journalists and ex-internationals.
Leading sports stars who have represented the country in football, hockey and athletics like Eddie Sequeira, Vandana Rao, Merwyn Fernandes, Joaquim Carvalho, Edgar Mascarenhas, Robert Pavri, Henry Picardo, Godfrey Pereira, Bernard, Mukul Pandey and MM Somaya, will be present at the opening
