Mumbai Customs won the men’s open title at the inaugural Savio 5s rink hockey tournament organised by the Savio Hockey Club and Academy, beating Ave Maria SC (Dadar) 4-2 in a closely-contested final at the St Dominic Savio High School ground, Andheri.

For the champs, B Muthana netted a brace while Nikhil Pardeshi and Jayesh Jadhav scored one each to secure the victory. The Dadar outfit did well to score twice in the first session through Vinay Valmiki and Sneden Mendes. Customs won a cash award of R35,000, while Ave Maria were richer by Rs 20,000.
