Take the kids to the caves
An easy and child-friendly trek to Bhaja caves is exactly the adventure that children (and parents) should sign up for after Children’s Day. Bhaja, now a little village, was an important trade route in ancient India, and the Buddhist caves are famous for their carvings. Look out for the carving of a female tabla-player — made around 2,000 years ago. Get in touch with Wandering Soul Riders for various pick-up points in and around the city. The trip includes breakfast, evening tea, games and transport by a private vehicle. And keep your flash-lights handy to take in the beauty of these caves.
