Here's another reason to trek to town and marvel at how pretty South Bombay is.
It’s also time to indulge in some good ol’ cultural fun — listen to music, take a heritage walks, appreciate artworks, shop at a flea market and eat some gourmet food — all on the open streets of the Ballard Estate area.
Here are just some of the reasons for you to pencil the festival in
>> Nikhil D’Souza performs on Valentine’s Day and this guy’s love songs are just the right kind of corny. Brownie points for whoever suggests it.
>> Head to their sound-free, open air theatre which will have special screenings that you can enjoy on your cordless headsets
>> The street food festival is all about serving Maharashtra on a plate. Get ready to sample some authentic Kothambir Wadi and Thalipeeth.
>> Indie band Colour Compound, who perform on March 19, will draw you in with good songwriting coupled with great melodies. The boys are fun to watch too. Girls, be there.
>> If you just want to walk around and take in the sites, hop on a Segway ride or register for a free heritage walk. There are enough jugglers, caricature artistes and stilt walkers to keep your wandering eye busy too.
