The city’s favourite Parsi joint SodaBottleOpenerWalla has both vegetarian and non-vegetarian bhonu options. The vegetarian ones include sweet potato paneer chop, bharela bheeda in patio masala, Parsi-style vegetable stew, masoor pulao, rotli, gajjar mewa nu achaar, saria papad and creamy pineapple falooda. The non-vegetarian bhonu comprises chicken farcha, saag ma gosht and Parsi-style chicken stew.

For Navroz, RTI Foods by Sir Ratan Tata Institute has curated two bhonus: a meaty non-vegetarian bhonu and a one-of-its-kind vegetarian special. Besides specialties like the whole pomfret, jardaloo salli mutton and cheesy bell pepper croquettes, both meals will have achaar, roti, appetiser, curry, pulao, dessert and raspberry soda. The portions are sufficient for two and you can also order a la carte in case you want to sample both.

Parsilicious, a Parsi takeaway in Grant Road West by Dilshad Karande, has rolled out a New Year menu. The meal for two, priced at R2,500,  comprises six rotlis, gajar mewa nu achaar, chicken pineapple mayo salad, boneless chicken farcha (10 bite-sized pieces), patra ni macchi, jardaloo mutton salli boti, mutton pulao dal and custard (two pieces).
