Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz, the latest offering from Yoodlee Films (Saregama's production house), is a take on love in the age of social media. Directed by Onir, the film tells the story of RJ Alfaaz (played by debutant actor Zain Khan Durrani) and meme artist Archana (played by National Award-winning actor Geetanjali Thapa) falling in love over Whatsapp.
During the shoot, Onir insisted that the lead actors, along with the stylists on board, decide on the look of the respective characters that they were playing. Both actors were given the liberty to choose the outfits they'd be seen sporting in the film.
The director opines that the exercise helped the actors bring their own interpretations to their roles. Onir says, "I wanted the actors to feel comfortable during the scenes. Choosing their outfits for scenes was a small but effective way to get the actors to relate to their characters." Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz is set to release on February 16.
