The opening ceremony of the IPL Season 2 will be telecast live as the eight IPL teams make their entry onto the field, led by the flag artists, to the contemporary beats of Indian and African Dejembe drummers dressed in colourful costumes.

A Pantsula dance performance by the Gum Boot Dancers, renowned international band Snow Patrol, a colourful swarm of butterfly dancers, acrobatic performances, a high power laser show, sky tracers, fire dancers and more form part of the opening ceremony B-Town folk Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty will be cheering for their teams.
Highlights of the street carnival that was held on April 16 will also be a part of the broadcast.
