Johansson's mother, Melanie Sloan, hit headlines when it was revealed she will be sued by her daughter for the return of a house deposit after she failed to secure a mortgage deal.
Subsequent reports suggested Sloan fell out with her daughter over money in recent months, but Johansson's spokesperson is adamant rumours of a rift are not true, reports contactmusic.com.
"Scarlett and Melanie are as close as they have ever been. They are incredibly proud of the solid and productive professional partnership they had through the many years they worked together. Their personal relationship is solid and loving," the rep told gossip column PageSix.
