Pop star Shakira has fuelled rumours of her relationship status with Spanish footballer Gerard Pique by posting a romantic picture with him on micro-blogging site Twitter.

The photograph shows the pair in front of a beach setting with the sun shining on them, and their arms are wrapped around each other.
