Radhika Pandit shares her shooting experiences with Hit LIST and narrates her experiences with her latest flick, Love Guru

Can you tell us about yourself?

I used to represent my college Mount Carmel in theme-based dances at various intercollege dance competitions. When studying for my final year B.Com, I decided to get into acting. That's how I got my first break in a serial called Nandagokula. After that I acted in Moggina Manasu.

Have you found a good platform here?
I firmly believe that if we are sincere in what we do we will succeed. We neither need a godfather nor any influence to survive here. I've been lucky to get good projects so far. I couldn't have asked for a better launch.

Who inspired you to enter the film industry?
I was inspired by my dad Krishnaprasad, who used to actively participate in theatre. He directed plays and was an actor himself.

Are you satisfied with your acting career? What are the challenges you have faced in the industry?
As an actor I can never be satisfied with my work. I believe the day an actor feels satisfied with his work his creativity and urge to explore ends. I am really happy and content with the way my career is shaping and the different types of projects I am working on. But I will definately be looking for something new all the time so that my creativity doesn't take a back seat. I still have a long way to go.

Do you have any dream role?
I do not have any dream role and I am more the kind of person who would probably take up the role given as a challenge and then work on it and see how I could improvise and do justice to the character I would be playing.
I am proud to be a part of this industry where there are so many versatile and talented people giving us good projects. I am also proud of our audiences who are very intelligent and appreciate good films and good work.

How was your experience while shooting for Love Guru?
I have just wrapped up with my dubbing of the project Love Guru. I thoroughly enjoyed shooting for this film. I portray the character of a girl who is full of life and can make anyone smile. The main reason why I enjoyed working on this project apart from the fabulous script and the refreshing character I am playing is the entire team of Love Guru. This is a very young team buzzing with energy and fresh ideas.

What do you think about Bollywood actors working in Sandalwood?
It's something to be happy about that our Kannada film industry encourages talent with no language or regional barriers. It welcomes outsiders with open arms. I believe that Karnataka has talent in abundance. Local girls do have everything that it takes to make it big. They just have to be discovered.
