Enjoy three days of dance at the second Pune International Dance Congress (PIDC), which will witness some energetic performances by renowned choreographers

You have seen them train aspirants on the dance reality show 'So you think you can dance' and now here's your chance to meet and learn from ace choreographers Miriam Larici and leonardo Barrionuevo at the second Pune International dance Congress (PIDC). Apart from brilliant performances, the three-day festival will also have workshops for the public. The festival will be held from July 22 to 24 at Vits, Balewadi.


Rocky and Ketaki Poonawala

Organised by celebrity choreographer Rocky Poonawala, the event will have a variety of dance forms to choose from including Salsa, Casino Rueda, Jive, Cha Cha Cha, Zouk, Tango, Samba, Paso Doble and more. According to Rocky, "The main attraction this year is the performance by Mirian and Leonardo. It's great to have them in the city. People have seen them on the show and they will be performing for them live. They will also conduct workshops on Tango for all dance lovers. Apart from that, people will get to learn a new dance form called Zouk, which is similar to club dancing."

Having received an overwhelming response last year from Pune, this year people from across India are participating in the event. Joining Rocky's team will be Salsa instructors June and Jackson, Freak N Stylz (Hip-Hop), Kirti, Sai and Richard (Salsa) and Priti & Shanon (Latin dance).

"The idea is to let people have a good time and express themselves through dance. It's good to know people from across the country will be attending it and we will make sure they have a time of their life," states Rocky.u00a0
