Imagine the Garden of Eden, filled with cupcakes, waffles, lollipops and a macaron tower. That's a temptation only few can resist. For those enticed by the imagery, make your dreams come true at Dessert Garden, a two-day festival designed to please dessert lovers of all hues.

"We limit every participating name to selling one kind of dessert, which cannot be sold by others. This way, if we have 50 stalls, you will have the option to pick from 50 different categories. If you are a waffle lover, you know the exact stall to head to," says founder Nikita Harisinghani. The team does a taste test of all the new brands participating at the festival to strike a balance between quantity and quality.

Coffee Truffles by The French Affair
The final list has a saccharine-high mix of lesser-known home chefs as well as popular eateries. On the highlights for the seventh edition, Harisinghani shares, "This year, we have Dilan's Delight that specialises in Turkish desserts sourced from the country. Likewise, we have The French Affair that offers French desserts, and Vitrine that makes authentic French entremets. Nutberry is a new brand that will serve Nutella pizzas, and Wonder Popcorn will offer purple candyfloss. Some established Mumbai names include Papacream for ice cream, fruit popsicles by Frugurpop and Shahi Durbar for Indian desserts." Other options include smoothies and mocktails, choux pastries, fudge, honey, and cookies.

Any food festival today is incomplete without photo-worthy spots. And to satisfy the selfie-lover, there's a seven-foot tall macaron tower (made by Harisinghani's team), a cupcake car to sit in, giant lollipops and a chandelier cake.

Sugar-lovers will know that a dessert binge is incomplete without a savoury interlude. Make a pit-stop at Pack a Pav for kebab pavs; Coney Island for pizza cones; sandwiches; potato sticks and select stalls offering Mexican, Italian, American and Indian fare.
