The teen was raped four times at separate places between Saturday evening and Sunday morning
15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by three youths in separate areas in Warje between Saturday evening and Sunday morning. The survivor lodged a complaint with the Warje police station. The police have taken into custody two juveniles while the other two have been arrested and remanded to seven days police custody.
Two of the accused have been identified as Amir Hussain Sayyad (18) and Anil Raju Pawar (18), both residents of Ahiregaon near Warje. The perpetrators have been charged under Sections 5 (g) – (gang penetrative sexual assault on a child) and 5 (l) – (aggravated penetrative sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and other relevant sections of Indian Penal Code.
Inspector (Crime), Jitendra Koli, said, “The girl lives with her parents and sister. The girl knew the gang who raped her. In her complaint, the girl stated that she was returning home from school on Saturday afternoon around 3.30 pm, when one of the juvenile accused in the case, approached her and asked her to accompany him on his bike. He took the girl to a friend’s house around 7.30 pm. Then Sayyad led the girl inside a stationary bus where he raped her.”
“Later, the second accused arrived at the scene at 10.30 pm. The girl requested him to drop her to her friend’s house, which he agreed, but instead took her to Dangat Vasti and raped her. Desperate to get away, around 1.30 am, she pleaded with the third accused to drop her home, but he too took advantage of her situation and sexually assaulted her in a shed at a nearby location. On Sunday morning around 6.30 am, Sayyad again took the girl to an isolated area and raped her,” Koli added.
“The girl was threatened by the gang with dire consequences if she informed her father about the incidents. The accused were produced in court and have been remanded to police custody for seven days,” Koli added.
