The club has called for an open house meeting at the CCI tomorrow at 5 pm for all members to "apprise them of the issue in connection with conducting cricket matches at the CCI. Members are urged to attend in large numbers to remove any apprehension". That's what an SMS to members says.
Mittal though says that, "We have not sold the club nor is this about money. It is about cricket." N Sardesai, a non-voting member of the club, is keen to attend the open house "to listen to what the club has to say. I do wonder though that with entry restricted to certain areas during match days, there will certainly be a curb on all kinds of facilities. That would be harsh on members who are not watching the cricket matches".
And member Dhiru Bhatia added, "I may boycott the open house meeting. Why should the CCI not negotiate on its own terms for the IPL?"
