In one such accident, which happened near Aarey Colony in Goregaon, a Nulife Cardiac Ambulance slipped and toppled to its side after its driver lost control and hit the road-divider.
According to eyewitnesses, the ambulance was carrying an old woman who was on ventilator.
"The old lady inside was quite serious. However, no one got injured. Her relatives immediately came out, took the woman out and rushed her to the hospital in an auto," said an auto rickshaw driver who witnessed the accident.
Meanwhile, the Goregaon police have arrested Danaji Ghorpade, the driver of the ambulance.
An officer who was present at the spot, said, "By the time we reached, those in the ambulance had left. We are looking out for them as we need to record their statement."
In yet another incident, a goods carrier truck collided with another truck on the WE Highway near Kandivli atu00a0 around 2.30 am.
Even though the impact of the collision was quite severe, none of the drivers received any injuries.
