National general secretary of youth NCP for Mumbai and Goa (yes they have this post in the NCP) Vinod Sinha got engaged to Garima Prasad with Udit Narayan singing "Papa kahte hain" in the background.

Hailed by his friends as the "next Amar Singh in the making", Sinha had very humble beginnings as the son of a PWD engineer in Bihar.

BJP leaders Ravi Shankar Prasad and Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Congress' Digvijay Singh and Subodh Kant Sahay did not turn up though they were on the guest list. Former Jharkhand chief minister Babu Lal Marandi and RJD's Sadhu Yadav attended the do.

Apart from the babus in New Delhi, who were in plenty, film stars including Neetu Chandra and Sharvan Rathore were seen mingling with the guests.

Actor Sharad Kapoor was happily giving short bytes to TV crews while Tanushree Dutta hogged the limelight with her short dress. Asked if she would campaign for Vinod or his party, "I will not campaign for him I don't know which political party he belongs to," Dutta said
