Alleges Congress leader Siddaramaiah; says he's not worried, as he has filed all details before the IT authorities
Opposition leader in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah yesterday alleged that Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa was trying to collect information on the assets owned by him.
"I have no fear. Let him find out how much assets I have earned. I have filed these details before the Income Tax authorities and the Lokayukta," he said.
Alleging that government officials had been told to dig up information about his assets, Siddaramaiah said only those who have amassed wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income, including Yeddyurappa, should harbour fears.
On February 3, the Yedyurappa led BJP government in a tit for tat offensive against the family of former Prime Minister and JD(S) chief H D Deve Gowda, had ordered a probe into some land purchases and acquisitions reportedly made by them to 'expose their misdeeds'.
Yeddyurappa had launched the offensive against Gowda's family after they mounted a consistent campaign against him by levelling charges of corruption and land scams.
