TDP party chief Chandrababu Naidu took a jibe at Sonia Gandhi during his fast to protest the split of Andhra Pradesh saying, since the Centre didn't understand the extent of the crisis, he would use Italian to explain
Accusing the Congress of playing politics over the creation of Telangana, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu went on an indefinite fast on Monday.

Naidu, however, did not clarify if he was in favour of a separate Telangana or a united Andhra Pradesh, saying just he wanted ‘justice’ for both.
“We want justice for the people in both areas,” he said. Asked which side his party was on, he evaded giving a straight answer. “If you have two children, who would you choose?”
Naidu accused the Congress of dividing the people.
“Congress party is playing total politics on the issue. They don’t care if the common people suffer, they want to collect maximum votes,” said the former Andhra Pradesh chief minister.
Naidu said that Andhra Pradesh was in a state of ‘immobilismo’ (Italian for being immobile). “I am using Italian language because it may be easier for the Congress government here to understand,” he said.
He complained that the central government held no discussions with other political parties on the decision. “Why are they not calling an all-party meeting? Is this an internal decision of the Congress?” he questioned.
“Democracy means if there are problems, they have to be debated, discussed and there must be some deliberations and ultimately they have to find some solutions. Ruling Congress has forgotten all these things. They are not finding any solutions. On the other hand they are creating problems,” he said, adding that people in Andhra Pradesh are losing confidence in the political system.
Naidu’s fast at the Andhra Bhavan comes as YSR Congress leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy is sitting on an indefinite fast in Hyderabad for a united Andhra Pradesh.
