The Congress will use music composer A Ru00a0 Rahman's Oscar-winning song 'Jai Ho' in its poll campaign for the coming Lok Sabha elections, sources said.

The sources within the Congress said the party has bought exclusive rights of the song from British director Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaireu00a0 that won eight Oscars. The rights were acquired from music company T-series, the sources said.

The rags-to-riches film shows life in Mumbai slums. It has 'Jai Ho' as its theme song. Music composer A Ru00a0 Rahman and lyricist Gulzar were awarded the Oscar for the hit number. Incidentally the party had used hit number 'Chak de' from the Shah Rukh Khan film during the Gujarat assembly polls.

The Lok Sabha general elections will be held in five phases, on April 16, 23 and 30, and May 7 and 13. A total of 714 million voters an increase of 43 million over the 2004 elections will elect 543 members.
