The Joint Forum of Executives' Associations of MTNL recentlty went on a hunger strike and dharna for a day at MTNL Corporate office, Jeevan Bharti Building, in Delhi.
The protest was a part of their action against the policies of the government and MTNL's management regarding the decision of five per centu00a0 fitment and capping of House Rent Allowance (HRA).
About 4,000 officers participated in the protest.
The executives have alleged that the MTNL's management is least bothered about maintaining its existing sevices and customers. They said that in this highly competitive era, the management's interest lies only in earning commissions from new projects.
According to them, the management is wasting money on projects that are unprofitable.
