'No 2 always goes further than No 1'
"I'm trying hard to feel bad and sad, but I just can't," said Anjaan, hours after losing the World's Dream Job contest to Ben Southall of the UK.
"Sources here tell me that I lost by a mere 0.5 points. The local grapevine in Hamilton Island is abuzz with rumours that Ben and I scored an equal number of points but in the end, the UK was seen as a bigger market for tourism than India," he told MiD DAY over phone.
Describing Ben as a "fantastic guy and a real champ," Anjaan quipped, "No. 2 always goes further than No. 1! The winner usually has too many contractual obligations to fulfil, leaving the field clear for No. 2 to have all the fun!"
Anjaan will spend the next three weeks travelling across Australia. "I get to spend two nights at this really, really exclusive, exotic and private resort on Lizard Island, located on Australia's Greet Barrier Reef, which has hosted celebrities like John Lennon, Princess Di and Barack Obama. I have an action-packed month ahead and, hopefully, an action-packed life ahead," he says, preparing to let his hair down and party like never before.
