Blind students under pressure after Tuesday's mysterious death

The pressure is building up. Not only for the police investigating the Hans Raj College case but also for the

visually impaired students who are trying to cope with their aim of education.

The body of Mukesh Kumar, 22, a second year BA Hindi Honours student, was found hanging inside his hostel room in Hans Raj College on Tuesday.

The Indian Association of Blind Students has reacted strongly on the entire incident. "We are waiting for the post mortem report to come. If it is a case of murder, we will protest in the campus until the culprit is nabbed,"said vice president, Inderjit Mawi.

"The visually challenged students are under great pressure as they find it difficult to manage with other students," added Mawi.

"We feel quite unsafeu00a0 in the college premiseu00a0 now," said a blind student.
DCP (north) Sagarpreet Hooda said: "Prima facie it looks to be a homicidal hanging as his hands were tied in the front. A case of murder has been registered at the moment."
