A 13-year-old boy died after coming under a local train on the Thane-Panvel route today afternoon.
At around 12.50 pm, the teenager who was crossing the tracks did not notice the oncoming train and got run over it.u00a0

The accident is known to have happened when the train was between Turbhe and Kopar Khairane railway stations. u00a0

The boy was a resident of Turbhe store, Shiv Shakti Nagar, in Navi Mumbai.u00a0

"His body was sent to the NMMC hospital in Vashi. He was wearing a green half-sleeve shirt and pants. We cannot comment whether or not he was returning from school," informed Parshuram Karyakarte, senior inspector Vashi GRP.
