Karthik was returning from a party in his Honda Accord at 6.20 amu00a0when he rammed into the cyclist, Radhakrishna(40), who was crossing the road near 16th Main.u00a0He then veered to the left and drove up the footpath killing theu00a0three pedestrians --u00a0Dr Ramanth Panathur(73),Kempe Gowda(72) and Sidappa Reddy(70). Kodandaram Reddy(63), a retired professor, also on his morning walk, miraculously escaped and lived to tell the horrifying tale.
After being on the run for nearly 12 hours, Karthik surrendered on receiving an SMS from the police about the consequences of evading the law.
